As an associate attorney with Buist, Byars & Taylor, LLC, Morgan M. Insley practices residential real estate and estate planning in the firm’s Mount Pleasant, South Carolina office. Originally from Murrells Inlet, South Carolina, Morgan graduated cum laude from the Honors College at the College of Charleston, earning her Bachelor of Arts in English with double minors in Spanish and Political Science.
Following undergrad, Morgan graduated summa cum laude from the Charlotte School of Law in Charlotte, North Carolina, where she served as the Senior Executive Editor of the Charlotte Law Review, the Historian of Phi Delta Phi (a national legal honors society), and was an inaugural member of the school’s honors program. Her case note was selected for publication in the 2016 edition of the Charlotte Law Review Journal.
In her previous experience, Morgan served as a legal intern to Justice Paul Newby at the North Carolina Supreme Court. She also practiced in estate planning, estate administration, and business law in the Charlotte area before relocating to the Lowcountry. Morgan continues to assist her clients with crafting a tailored estate plan and guiding them through the probate process, and strives to ensure the residential closing process is seamless for her clients.
Now back on the South Carolina coast, Morgan enjoys salt water fishing, kayaking, and boating. She is also a painter, focusing mostly on acrylics and watercolor, and likes to hit the golf course or driving range whenever possible. She lives in Mount Pleasant with her husband, Isaac, and their cat, Pippin.
