Ian Bowers is an attorney in the commercial real estate practice area, focused on corporate transactions and real estate matters. After graduating with departmental honors from the College of Charleston, Ian founded a local gym which he grew prior to selling to a national chain.
He attended the Charleston School of Law where he served as a Research Assistant for the Honorable John Few, who now sits on the Supreme Court, and as an aide to the Honorable Judy McMahon. He graduated cum laude in 2013 and began his legal practice as an insurance defense litigator with Willson Jones Carter & Baxley where he litigated cases all over South Carolina.
Ian joined Buist Byars & Taylor, where he represents buyers and sellers in commercial real estate matters, corporate mergers, acquisitions, and financing across a broad range of industries. He took a leave of absence to pursue a long-sought opportunity with the federal government in Washington, DC and is grateful for the opportunity to have served.
Ian and his wife enjoy everything the Lowcountry has to offer, and he spends much of his free time fishing, shrimping, or exploring the ever changing restaurant scene.
