An associate with Buist Byars & Taylor LLC, Tiffany Butler Davis’s practice is primarily focused on business law, including intellectual property (patents, trademarks and copyright), review of contracts and leases, creation of corporate governance documents, and preparation of agreements for employment, partnering, consulting, and vendors/service providers.
She also handles real estate matters, both residential and commercial, and foreclosure intervention and defense. In addition, she provides startup counseling for new business ventures and works with SCORE and other entrepreneurial groups. She has given presentations through National Business Institute, Lorman Education Services, Charleston School of Law, and the Small Business Institute, and was featured as a panelist at Lowcountry Local First’s 2015 Good Business Summit.
Tiffany earned dual bachelor’s degrees in biology and English from the College of Charleston. Prior to graduating from the Charleston School of Law in 2009, she donated over 100 pro bono hours to the Charleston County Solicitor’s Office and earned a Pro Bono Service Award. While attending law school, she was a member of the Federal Courts Law Review. In addition, she was chosen to serve as a Teaching Fellow for the Charleston School of Law’s legal research and writing department, and served as a student officer on the Executive Leadership Committee.
Raised in Summerville, South Carolina, she and her husband, Jesse, now make their home here in the Charleston area. They enjoy spending time with their two adorable dogs – Ollie, the Rough Collie, and Willie, the mischievous rescue pup.
