SC Developer Pursues Adaptive Reuse Project in Nashville

Flyway, a Charleston-based real estate and construction firm, has purchased property in Nashville, TN.  Buist Byars & Taylor represented Flyway in the transaction.

The 3.77-acre property is a key property at Silo Bend, and includes a 40,000 square foot bow truss building, which Flyway envisions as a mixed-use retail and unique office space, and a 5,700 square-foot structure, which may be turned into restaurant, bar or retail space.

Flyway president Lindsay Nevin said the company was “drawn to the authenticity of the existing structures,” which they plan to save and highlight in the final design.  Nevin hopes to “foster a sense of community” with the adaptive reuse project, which would be part of a “living and working” development currently underway in The Nations.
